League is a no social game. They tried pleasing everyone and pleased none. They are doing everything to make it more profitable and less about playing the game. The worst thing they've done is to sell to tencent and now everything is about chests, ranked, skins...

The game is stuck in a meta defined state you either play meta or get run over, if someone picks leblanc mid and you didnt pick some counter youre nulified for the entire game

The game feels bad because league take everything that's fun out, everything has to be certain way to define a meta, so either you stomp and have 15 min of fun before the enemies ff or get stomped till you surrender

So honestly, I've struggled with this exact same issue. I've found it really difficult to get as many people to play with, now I've got one or two. Back in the day we used to do 5v5's with a full lobby of friends. And the experience has been pretty draining honestly. I wish I could give you some good advice, tell you I've found the solution, but I can't. I just want you to know you're seen, and that I'll continue to watch and support whatever you do brother.

This video deeply resonated with me. Being from Brasil, i played League first even before the brasilian server existed. I used to play it on the NA server with as much lag and ping you could possibly imagine, but league used to be really enjoyable, because you could play anithing you want in whatever strategy you tought, since there was no META obssession among the players, and even competitive play was about having fun while competing. Nowadays, only boring, mono-character plays get to high ELO, making repetitive tasks a requisite that my brain simply can't deal with without great stress and effort. And the community is so toxic, that you can't even discuss anything with anyone without having your chat restricted for ever. I know you can find happiness in whatever path you choose, since i'm one of those that desinstalled League because i simply can't deal with the amount of stress this game gives me instead of fun. I will continue to watch your videos because they really make me smile and hope for humanity's ability to learn and be good to each other ^^

"everyone busy, my friends are growing up...." this is pretty much why the game's lonely. the people you used to play with no longer play anymore. and even on the rare occasion that they decide to play, the game state now punishes those who aren't skilled enough HARD. one mistake lvl 1 and your laning phase becomes unplayable. And for those who just casually logged in to have a chill and fun time, this isn't what they signed up for. And with most of the casual players leaving, the only ones left are sweaty or toxic ones which make it difficult to just have a chill and fun game. Which is why they just don't pick it up again. or you could go play ARAM.

Who would've known the meme of "friends we make along the way" was actually never a meme after all. I think it's just as you said: the end of an era. We've all been doing this for a long time right now, and life happens. As someone said in the comments, we shouldn't try to relive the memories, but instead make new ones. Don't be sad because it's over, be grateful because it happened. Time to try new builds with different items in this long match we call life.

Feel ya man lol is just there for me as a filler game till other things come out at this point. I do miss the days my friends and I played but when I moved to Japan for work and the time zone change they slowly stoped talking to me or they all out ranked me because I don’t have the time to play as much. But I do still like the game but it’s just hard to enjoy by yourself even with the feel good of a win it only lasts for like 10 seconds then it’s gone. All in all I do miss the magic ack when I started in 2015. But honestly whatever content you make from here I’ll still be tuned in to see what’s up

genunily emotional video i kinda feel the same, the social part was always why i played league since its hard for me to make new friends IRL so its really sad that riot pushes soo hard against that i can remember a game years ago with a "headmistress fiora" in the game and legit everyone in the game roleplayed school it was really cringe but kinda fun too because everyone just had fun in the game cant remember when the last time was people just had fun with each other like that

Hi. I don’t think I’ve really interacted with your videos very often, but I do watch them from time to time, and I thank you for making awesome vids and being a content creator to aspire towards. I’ve always had a weird relationship with League. Even when starting out around 2016 when the first wave of PROJECT skins came out, I’ve quickly found out that I don’t play games to be competitive, and have spent the last 8 years mainly playing ARAM. I’ve found the experience very fulfilling, and feel like I got to learn more about each individual champion than I would have if I played on Summoners’ Rift. Many of my friends have come and gone, to pursue their dreams and move on with life. I myself have enrolled in and graduated from college. I got to play a multitude of different games like Genshin and Minecraft, but I can confidently say that League has been my most-played game. The social ecosystem within League, within the client, is kind of non-existent anyway, like I find it hard for anyone to add someone as a friend after playing a game together. Other than signing up as a free agent in Clash, there’s not really a way to start building connections with people. If I could recommend something for you, it would be to use lfg channels in the official League discord, where I think everyone there is willing to get into a voice channel and jam with you. Thank you for countless good laughs. I wish you the best in your endeavors and future League experience.

It feels lonely because what you once valued is now gone. Along with those values comes the childhood memories of playing after school, That's a major reason why it hits so hard because things change so much just from being the average primary school student to suddenly graduating and still playing that same game we used to play throughout primary/highschool days. You did an excellent job executing the transparency in this video, it hit me and made me remember other memories from other games that I have played along the way with the people around me, the thrill and rush of getting home from school just so that I could jump on the game with all my friends. Daniel, Sometimes you have to replace those old memories with even better ones and maybe you don't have to forget about those other memories you hold onto so dearly, The beauty of having a memory is that they stick with you for as long as you live and you can always cherish and talk about those memories with your friends. That being said, I used to watch your videos 13 years ago, I went from watching your videos after school to meeting you in voice chat and becoming a mod for you, You've got a ridiculously good staple on capturing the way you feel for a moment you want to share such as this video, I felt goosebumps as you spoke about your transparency and that hit hard. Oh my god, the Skype call sound sent me WAY back. 12 years ago when I started playing as Cho'gath top and went to Nocturne jungle building feral flare. All my friends grew apart from me over time, but I'll never forget the times we actually had fun with this game... even though it's been around 9 years since then.

Issue is, accounts have no value anymore. Back in the day, you was PUMPED to be ready for ranked. You wanted to have runes and everything ready, and play to the best of your ability. Now you can intfeed ragequit a game and connect to your next 3€ level 30 account.

riot's social interaction? i think they moved everything to valorant tbh but im also one of the persons in the friend group that didn't really move to valorant and stuck with league, so i feel you on that one... With so much casual content focused on valorant, almost all the content i see on league is esports. Not to put pressure or anything, but your videos are one of the things i look forward to❤

I mean, real life is catching up to us, a lot of lads have to work, start a family, progress in carrier, etc. There isnt enough time and/or energy left to play League, especially with comms. RIP to the old times [*]
